Share Your Skills and Passions

Have an interest or talent you would love to share? Volunteers may have opportunities to introduce Club members to activities such as art, music, cooking, coding, photography, fitness, career exploration, or another area of expertise.

Proposed activities are considered based on member interests, staff capacity, and current Club needs. Our team will work with you to determine whether your idea is a good fit.

Event Volunteers

Help Bring Our Special Events to Life

Special-event volunteering is a great way to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine when a weekly commitment does not fit your schedule. Throughout the year, volunteers help us welcome guests, create memorable experiences, and raise essential funds for Club programs.

Depending on the event, volunteer roles may include:

  • Event setup and breakdown

  • Guest check-in and registration

  • Race-day or course support

  • Auction and raffle assistance

  • Hospitality and refreshments

  • General event support

Opportunities may be available during Spring for the Kids, the Patriot’s Day 5K Road Race, the Annual Auburn/Lewiston Golf Classic, Fall for the Kids, and other Club events. Volunteer roles and requirements vary, and opportunities may not be available for every event.

Group Volunteers

Make an Impact Together

Volunteering as a group offers businesses, schools, civic organizations, and community teams a meaningful way to work together while giving back.

Group opportunities may include supporting a special event, assisting with a seasonal or facility-based project, or helping with another need identified by Club staff. Because projects depend on current priorities and the size of the group, each opportunity is coordinated individually.

Please contact us at least one to two months before your preferred volunteer date so our team has time to identify an appropriate project and make the necessary arrangements.
