Membership is open to youth ages 6–18, with some programs beginning at age 5 depending on the Club location.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine, our mission is to inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential as responsible, productive, and caring citizens. We are dedicated to making our programs accessible to all families by offering them at reduced rates or, whenever possible, free of charge. For those facing financial challenges, we offer financial assistance on a sliding scale, ensuring that no one is excluded from the opportunities we provide. We also recognize that each family's situation is unique. Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine is an independent nonprofit organization governed by a local Board of Directors and affiliated with Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Club Experience

Members participate in a wide variety of age-appropriate activities, including homework help, STEM, arts, athletics, leadership programs, games, community service, healthy meals and snacks, and special events. Every day is designed to help young people learn, grow, and have fun.

Our Clubs are generally open after school, throughout the summer, and during many school vacations. Hours vary by location.

The safety and well-being of every child is our highest priority. We maintain comprehensive safety policies, conduct background checks, provide ongoing staff training, and follow Boys & Girls Clubs of America child safety standards.

Members should bring any schoolwork or personal items needed for the day. Specific programs or field trips may have additional requirements, and families will be notified in advance.
