Growing Tomorrow's Leaders Today
Empowering young people to discover their voice, strengthen their character, and become engaged members of their communities.
Building Character That Lasts a Lifetime
Leadership isn't about titles—it's about character, confidence, and making a positive difference. It begins long before adulthood. When young people are given opportunities to make decisions, serve others, and take on responsibility, they develop the confidence and skills to succeed in school, at work, and in life. Our Leadership programs encourage youth to think beyond themselves, strengthen their communities, and realize their full potential as responsible, productive, and caring citizens.

Our Leadership Programs:
-
Designed for middle school youth, Torch Club is a "club within the Club" that helps members develop leadership and character during an important stage of adolescence. Members work together to improve their Club, complete at least four community service projects each year, and serve as positive role models for younger members.
-
Keystone Club provides leadership development opportunities for teens ages 14–18 through activities focused on academic success, career preparation, and community service. Guided by dedicated adult advisors, members strengthen leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on their Club and the communities they serve.
-
Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs of America's premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club members since 1947. Each year, exceptional teens are selected to represent their Club as leaders and ambassadors, with opportunities to advance to state and national competitions while inspiring others through their stories of resilience and success.
-
Teen Council brings high school members together with the Alumni Association to discuss current events, share ideas, and strengthen their Club community. Through open dialogue and collaboration, members develop leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills while helping shape the future of their Club.
Learning by Leading
Leadership isn't taught only in meetings—it's developed through experience. Whether organizing a community service project, mentoring younger members, speaking at an event, or representing the Club in the community, members discover that leadership means serving others, working together, and making a positive difference every day.
A Place to Belong. A Place to Lead.
Young people grow into leaders when they're encouraged to share their ideas, take on new challenges, and know their voice matters. Our Clubs provide a supportive environment where members feel safe to step outside their comfort zones, build meaningful relationships, and discover the confidence to lead. “Leadership does not always come from big actions, but also from small, consistent choices.”
