95 Years of Community Coming Together
For 95 years, the Patriot’s Day 5K Road Race has brought together runners, walkers, families, volunteers, and supporters who believe in creating brighter futures for Southern Maine’s young people.
Whether you are racing toward a personal best, enjoying the course with friends, volunteering behind the scenes, or cheering from the sidelines, you’ll be part of a longstanding tradition built around community and shared purpose.
Run, Walk and Celebrate
The race begins and ends at Shipyard Brewing Company in Portland. Following the 5K, participants and supporters are invited inside Shipyard to gather, connect, and enjoy a complimentary beverage of their choice—beer, cocktail, or soda.
There are many ways to participate:
Run or walk the 5K
Cheer on participants along the course
Join the post-race gathering
Volunteer to help make race day possible

Miles That Make a Difference
The Patriot’s Day 5K is about more than crossing the finish line. Participation helps Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine provide safe, welcoming spaces where young people can learn, build confidence, connect with caring mentors, and prepare for bright futures.
Every runner, walker, volunteer, and supporter helps strengthen the programs and opportunities available to children and teens throughout Southern Maine.
