South Portland Clubhouse
Every Child Knows Where They Belong
The South Portland Club is a place where children feel welcomed, encouraged, and inspired to be themselves. Every afternoon, members discover new interests, build meaningful friendships, receive support from caring mentors, and develop the confidence to succeed in school and in life.
From the moment they walk through our doors, young people become part of a community that believes in their potential and celebrates every success—big or small.

Rooted in Community
The South Portland Club has become a trusted resource for local families by providing a safe, welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and build lasting connections.
Working closely with local schools, community organizations, and families, our team creates opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom. Every program is designed to help young people discover their strengths, build healthy relationships, and develop the confidence to take on new challenges.
For many members, the Club becomes a second home—a place where they're known by name, encouraged to try new things, and surrounded by adults who genuinely care about their success.
Programs That Inspire Every Child
-
From homework help and tutoring to STEM exploration and literacy, our academic programs encourage curiosity, build confidence, and help young people succeed in school while preparing for future educational opportunities.
-
Whether through visual arts, music, photography, dance, or creative expression, members discover new talents, build confidence, and develop important communication and problem-solving skills.
-
Sports, fitness, and recreational activities encourage teamwork, resilience, healthy competition, and active lifestyles while helping young people build confidence both on and off the field.
-
Healthy meals and snacks, physical activity, wellness education, and supportive relationships help members develop healthy habits that benefit them throughout their lives.
-
Young people develop character, confidence, and leadership skills through programs such as Torch Club, Keystone Club, Teen Council, Youth of the Year, community service, and other opportunities to make a positive impact in their schools and communities.
-
Career exploration, mentoring, job readiness, financial literacy, and real-world learning experiences help teens discover future opportunities and prepare for success beyond high school.
SOUTH PORTLAND: Connected to Our Community
The South Portland Club is built on strong relationships—with families, schools, community partners, and the young people we serve every day.
-
Working closely with local schools helps ensure members receive consistent academic support and a smooth transition from the classroom to the Club, where learning continues through homework help, enrichment activities, and caring mentorship.
-
Transportation from participating schools helps more families access after-school programs, making it easier for children to spend their afternoons in a safe, supportive environment.
-
Through nutritious meals and snacks, physical activity, wellness programming, and opportunities to stay active, members develop healthy habits that support their physical and emotional well-being.
-
Perhaps what makes the South Portland Club most special isn't a single program—it's the relationships built here every day. Children know they're welcomed. Parents know they're supported. And together, we create a community where every young person can thrive.
